Double Cone Blender is used for mixing dry powder, abrasives and granules homogeneously. The blender name is derived from its body shape. Two cones are welded to a cylindrical portion to form double cone container.Trunions are welded to the central cylindrical portion at opposite ends which rotate in sturdy spherical roller bearing housings/pedestals. The blender is rotated at slow RPM because of which the entire mass is tumbled along the angle of the cone resulting in cris crossing of the material to produce a uniform mix. Separately driven internal lump breakers and spraying arrangement can be provided for breaking of lumps and agglomerates.

Ribbon Blender is mainly used for easy to mix powder of different bulk densities which are processed like dried granules, pre-sieved powders etc with low shear force. Mostly used for SOLID mixing but can also mix semi wet material. The mixer consists of a cylindrical shell inside which rotates a ribbon agitator. The ribbon agitator consists of a set of inner and outer helical ribbons. The outer ribbons move the material from the ends to the center while the inner ribbons move the material from the center to ends. Internal attachments like lump breakers and spraying arrangement widen the applications of this blender. It occupies less head room space for large volume mixing unlike Double cone, `V' Blenders etc.
