Process Opration:
The individual axial and radial flight paths of the particles intercross.The particles partially collide and their flight paths are diverted. They also reflect frequently from the wall of the drum and the mixing elements, from which they are caught up and whirled anew. The resultant turbulance with constant,total involvement of the mixing product, prevents the formation of dead or immobile zones in the product space and attains a rapid and accurate mixture. Squashing of the product particles between the drum wall and the mixing elements is avoided by means of the special form of elements,which lift the product from the wall of the drum. The hurling and whirling principle thereby achieves advantageous conditions for the completion of the mixing processes with simultaneous protction of fragile and heat sensitive materials.
