FABDECON mixtruder is a versatile double arm mixer cum kneader incorporating a screw at the trough bottom below mixer blades for unloading or extruding the mixed product. The mixtruder is designed for mixing and extruding almost every type of material that could be encountered in the platics,rubber, food , drug , and chemical industries. The diameter of the extruder screw increases with increase in capacity of the machine. Inside diameter of the barrel is precision machined and outside diameter of screw is held at a close tolerance for uniform clearance. Extruder is a continuous flight screw with suitable pitch to diameter ratio. Special optional extruder screw for chopping bulky material can also be provided.. the extrusion rate and pressure vary depending on; the material being processed, size of extrusion die and on the size of the screw itself. During mixing cycle, action of screw pushes the material into mixing trough and within reach of blades thus assuring thorough blending of all the ingredients, and at the same time reducing the mixing time as compared with an ordinary mixer. Discharging/Extrusion is done by push button operation. During extrusion the mixing blades act as positive feeding device to the extruder screw. Extremely, tough materials such as filled thermosetting resins and bulk moulding compounds which are very heavy and viscous are handled easily with the mixtruder, along with the scores of other materials with viscosities upto and even beyond 10,000,000 centipose.

Optional Features

Mixtruder can be supplied with either non-tilt container or special tilt type container. Other optional features like variavle speed drives, choice of seals, jacket for heating or cooling, cored blades, vacumm suitability, choice of materials of construction, choice of mixing blades etc. shall be as described in our catalogue for double arm mixer cum kneader.

Capacity Range

Mixtruders are supplied in capacities ranging between 25 litres and 2000 litres in same capacity models as described in literature on double arm mixer cum kneader.

How Mixtruder Cuts Costs

Most significant saving is achieved when process demands mixing immediately followed by extrusion into desired shape.Mixtruder avoids material handling between two steps thus reducing labour and eliminating time required for recharging into seperate extruder. Also the mixing blades effect positive feeding into extruder thus eliminating special feeding devices required otherwise.
Yet another advantage of Mixtruder lies when material is very sticky and is difficult to discharge by normal method of tilting the container.In certain cases due to hazardous nature of the material,it may be undesirable to physically handle the material for complete discharge.
As discharge of material takes place without tilting the container, wear and tear is considerably reduced in case of large units and the system becomes compact resulting in space saving.
Installation of screw enhances the productivity of already efficient Double Arm Mixer, consequently mixing time is considerably reduced.
